| Clive becomes a member of the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin

On the 19th April during the ‘Tulip Chapter’ at the
famous Château du Clos de Vougeot, Clive was bestowed the
honour of becoming a member of the renowned Confrérie des
Chevaliers du Tastevin ’.
The
Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin was founded by two
Burgundians in Nuits-Saint-Georges in 1934, to promote Burgundy, its
wines and traditions. Today, it boasts some 11,000 members who
represent Burgundy around the world.
Their motto,
appropriately, is: “Jamais en vain, toujours en vin”. (Never in
vain, always in wine.)

The Abbaye has just won
a new award – this
time in the ‘Andrew Harper Hideaway
Report’, where it was voted ‘Hideaway
of the Year 2008’. In addition,
Clive was voted ‘Hotel Manager
of the Year’.
Andrew Harper is to tourism what Michelin
is to gastronomy.
